2nd last post before being botak

Posted by James

Yup, I am cutting my hair botak tomorrow and if I am in a good mood, maybe I might post the before and after picture here.

So, the time had come for me to become from a boy to a man (Not that I am not a man but people always just think otherwise).

There would be quite a lot of getting used to in the army. The early waking up time, the discipline which is needed and the boring lifestyle ( Comparable to watching paint dry ) but mentally I am kind of ready.

Anyway, below is a picture, for memory sake.

4 night

Posted by James

4 nights more.. Over the week, I rented a car and made full use of it. I think the money was well spent because I am totally ready for army after relaxing and doing all the things which I wanted to do.

Am I prepared? Barely I guess..

Today was an impromptu outing to bugis for some shopping and makaning. I tried to find an old stall selling fish soup which I had fond memories of but the renovated hawker centre was totally different from what I remembered. Nope, sad to say, I didn't find the stall which I had been eating since young when I would tag along my mum to temple. That taste of oil and strong pepper smell... Oh well..

Thanks all of you who met me and totally prepared me for NS... :)

5 days more till enlistment.

Today was a very very very tiring but fun filled day.

The photoshoot which Qian Hao, Me, Christopher had been looking forward to! Jing yi also joined us :D

We went to hort park in the morning (10am is still considered morning ok!) and had some very interesting shot taken. Lunched at vivocity Kopitiam, a bit of walking around and we headed to henderson wave for more shooting.

Dinner at Katong with IITSC, simple yet very fulfilling to see all my other friends. After dinner, was ice cream at ice cream chef, the taste was so so but the company was great.

After ice cream, Michelle joined us and we went to Marina Barrage for more shooting! HAHA.. Crazy, yes, we are crazy!!

Hope the photo will turn out fine :)

P.S. Qian Hao, I seriously think you look fine :)

9 days left till my enlistment.

Today was rather productive. I was sick. HA! So that means I stayed at home and played game.

I am currently hooked onto a game called Alan Wake on the Xbox 360.

The game is a thriller adventure game about a story writer and his adventure on an island filled with strange things happening. His wife was kidnapped and the whole story plot was quite mind f-ing. Quite a good time waster.

Beside playing game, I also went out for dinner with a little surprised. Thanks for the honey lemon and chocolate :D

Although it contradicts each other, Honey lemon is for curing sore throat and chocolate is for making it worse but I know that chocolate must wait till I recover then can eat xD

Tomorrow will be a tiring day! :)

Food Trip

Posted by James

After the chalet, I went home, took a nap and went out with Jing yi, Nic Soon and Mei mei for a FOOD TRIP AROUND SG!!!!

We met up at Bedok and commerce our trip! First stop, Prawn mee at Marine Parade!

The prawn mee was good stuff and the ngoh hiang was also good stuff!! 4/5 stars, the price was a bit steep though.

So, after a main course, we had dessert! :D

A place called little ice cream kafe.

We had lychee and hershey dark chocolate. The lychee was great but the chocolate had a powdery taste and texture to it.

So, with our tummy filled, we can't continue our food trip. We decided to sweat some of the food out and so, we went to marina barrage to fly kite! LOL... Random much, ya, I know.

So, after an agonizing hour of trying to get the kite into the sky, we decided to leave barrage because the weather is a killer man!! We needed somewhere with aircon and preferably with cold dessert! Jing yi suggested a chinese dessert place at Chinatown and VROOM we went.

The place was full of good stuff. The dessert was quite nice and we ordered chicken wing by recommendation of Jing yi! It was boneless and the sauce was spicy yet shiok!

After stuffing ourself, we went to vivocity to stroll around and waste some time before heading to our final destination!

BLASTIER FOUNDERS BAK KU TEH!!!!

DSC_0711 DSC_0716 DSC_0724

It was good stuff man. The bak ku teh soup was good but the meat is kinda disappointing. The side dishes was alright in my own opinion though. The teh ka was very tender and is a must try dish.
